The Falling Creek Panthers and Bellwood Bulldogs kicked off a new school year today. July 17 was the start of the 2023-24 school year at Falling Creek Elementary and Bellwood Elementary, which are the two schools in Chesterfield County Public Schools that follow a year-round calendar. (The county’s 65 other schools follow a traditional calendar, and Aug. 21 is their first day of the new school year.)Â
