Midlothian Theatre works to create engaging and enticing productions for the Midlothian community. We strive to include as many talented students as possible, and are open to anyone to audition or help build the set and put the production together. Midlothian Theatre is a great opportunity for expression for students and also offers many leadership opportunities in design, management, and directing roles.
Cast meets four times a week for 2-4 hours until the final two weeks of production, which requires longer hours and possible weekend obligations. Crew meets once a week leading up to the production, usually on Mondays for 2-3 hours and then joins cast for tech week, requiring longer hours. Leadership positions typically will be required to attend all rehearsals, as well as meetings during school and after school. Play commitments are less than musical, but both require a large commitment, no matter the role.
Auditions are announced on the announcements at least one week in advance, as well as posted outside the Black Box. Crew interest meeting will be announced on the announcements as well with information on how to join and the commitment/expectations/responsibilities. For any other information, email Mrs. Jenkins.
