Our mission is to empower all students to become productive and contributing members of society. In partnership with families, staff, and the community. We, as school counselors, provide a developmental program that addresses students’ academic, personal/social and career development.
The students at Cosby High School are infinite learners who graduate college and career- ready, well prepared to meet the challenges and expectations of the 21st century. All students participate in a rigorous curriculum and high quality programs that support social and emotional growth and development supported by a comprehensive school counseling program. The school counseling program facilitates a partnership between school, family, and community. As productive and contributing citizens, our students achieve their fullest potential, making a difference in our community.

If you have not set-up your account yet, please request an Activation Code.
If you have ALREADY activated your Parchment account and would like to request that your SAT/ACT scores NOT be shown on your transcript, please complete the Google Form.

Big Future College and Career Planning Checklist
Freshman Year Checklist - Meet with your high school counselor for advice on your future plans - and begin identifying your interests and developing skills for the future by using Major Clarity (an app on your dashboard).
Sophomore Year Checklist - Meet with your counselor and review your four year academic plan in Major Clarity - keep up with grades - have conversation about career paths Take the PSAT in the fall (October)
Junior Year Checklist - This year's meeting with your counselor will include discussion and research for your post high school plans - selection for your senior year. Take your PSAT in the fall (October)- Register for the SAT and/or ACT, if your plans include a four year college/university. You will receive a link to complete a "brag sheet" if you need a recommendation for your post high school plans.
Senior Year Checklist - Review your transcript and test scores - stay organized - attend college information sessions, apply for scholarships - internships. Request transcripts and letters of recommendation - for college applications or places of employment. Stay focused on your goals.
SENIORS - Complete the FAFSA - to be eligible for financial aid - [available October 1] and make an appointment with Mrs. Sandi Morgan - the GRASP representative, to assist with college funding questions. Please call Ms. Paula Tylus in our Test Center/Career Center to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Morgan.
