The Girls Lacrosse team at Monacan High School strives to promote the sport of lacrosse by building strong, hardworking, and confident student-athletes. No prior experience is required to play lacrosse.
The season begins Feb. 23, 2026. Games begin March 16 and typically run on Mondays and Wednesdays with occasional other dates on the schedule depending on the school we are playing and/or travel time. Go to the Dominion District website to see our current schedule.
All players must have their paperwork uploaded to Healthy Roster before tryouts begin. It is also important that this paperwork be completed before players can start out of season conditioning. Players need to bring the following equipment to tryouts: stick, goggles, mouthguard, athletic shoes (sneakers and/or cleats), and a water bottle. Sticks and goggles may be loaned out to players who want to “try before they buy”.
