PSAT/SAT Academy

2026-27 academy dates

• Register at this link for Sept. 28-Oct. 1 academy (3:40-5:30 p.m. at Clover Hill High). Registration opens Sept. 8 and closes at 5 p.m. Sept. 23.
• Registration for March 1-4 academy (3:40-5:30 p.m. at Bird High) will open Feb. 1 and close at 5 p.m. Feb. 24.

Details

• PSAT Academy is free and open to Chesterfield County Public Schools high school students who want to prepare for the free PSAT exam that schools administer each fall.
• SAT Academy is free and available to Chesterfield County Public Schools high school students who want to prepare for college entrance exams. Chesterfield high schools administer the SAT at no cost each spring.

Students must purchase and bring to class this study guide from the vendor of their choice: Princeton Review Digital SAT Premium Prep, 2025 (ISBN 9780593517529).

At the academies, SAT and PSAT students will receive two days of math prep and two days of reading/writing prep. The academies do not include testing or test registration.

At no cost for students, each Chesterfield high school administers the PSAT in the fall and the SAT in the spring. Check with your school for the dates. (Students who want to take the SAT at a time other than that offered at their high school can go to collegeboard.org to find testing dates, costs and registration information.)

Transportation

Students can get a bus pass from their counselor to ride the specialty center bus from their school to the PSAT Academy or SAT Academy, then back to their school to be picked up. Students who are driving or being dropped off should enter at door 11 at Clover Hill High and at door 14 at Bird High.
