he National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is a nationally recognized organization established by the National Art Education Association (NAEA) to inspire and recognize students who demonstrate outstanding ability and interest in visual arts. The society is designed for high school students who meet specific academic and artistic standards.
NAHS meets once a month, after school in art room 319 for one hour.
Membership in this chapter shall be based upon art scholarship, service, and character.
To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must be a high school art student, and have completed one year of Honors level art with a minimum art average of B. This is the national minimum standard of achievement required for eligibility and shall remain fixed. It is recommended that students who have previously taken or are currently enrolled in Honors Independent Study Art and/or AP Studio Art apply for membership in National Art Honor Society.
