Melanie Knowles is proud to serve as principal of Bailey Bridge Middle School. Mrs. Knowles grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from Manchester High School. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University, and is beginning her 31st year in education. Prior to becoming principal at Bailey Bridge, she served as a Spanish teacher and assistant principal at Hopewell High School, assistant principal at Carver Middle School, and principal at Falling Creek Middle School. Mrs. Knowles is overjoyed to serve the Bailey Bridge Middle School students, staff, and families and is proud to be part of such a strong, dedicated, and caring school community.
Ms. Woodfolk earned her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and her master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She began her career as an English teacher before serving as an administrative aide and later becoming an assistant principal at Bailey Bridge Middle School. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse student populations. She is excited to continue serving the students, families, faculty, and staff of Bailey Bridge Middle School during the 2026–2027 school year.
8th Grade Administrator
Lesley Jones is excited to continue to serve the Bailey Bridge community as an Assistant Principal. Mrs. Jones is a proud Chesterfield County Public Schools graduate. She attended Longwood College for her Bachelor’s Degree and Virginia Commonwealth University for her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, she served as a Dean of Students and taught Social Studies. Ms. Jones has been an educator for 25 years at the middle school level.
7th Grade Administrator
Anthony is honored to serve the Bailey Bridge community as Dean of Students. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, his master’s degree from Regent University, and an endorsement in Administration and Supervision, PreK-12 from Longwood University. With more than two decades of experience in education, Anthony has served students in private day, middle, and elementary schools, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering student success, building positive relationships, and creating supportive learning environments.
