The society is designed for high school students who meet specific academic and artistic standards.","highlights":"Inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art; Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art; Further creative abilities and talents of the Society\u2019s members, as well as the school\u2019s entire student art enrollment; Aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area; Bring art to the attention of the school and community; Increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum; and further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school\u2019s total program.","time_commitment":"NAHS meets once a month, after school in art room 319 for one hour.","how_to_sign_up":"Membership in this chapter shall be based upon art scholarship, service, and character.\r\n\r\nTo be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must be a high school art student, and have completed one year of Honors level art with a minimum art average of B. This is the national minimum standard of achievement required for eligibility and shall remain fixed.
