The LMB will perform at each Varsity home football games, select JV football games, and select away Varsity football games. In addition, the Lancer Marching Band will participate in several marching band competitions throughout the season and end the season with a VBODA Marching Band Assessment.","highlights":"To participate in the annual spring trip, students must be a member of the Lancer Marching Band. In addition to this exciting time, marching band students will earn free access to football games when participating with the LMB. The LMB is a highlight of the school during Pep Rally's, often \"leading the way\" in a small parade through the school. Students will get to travel with their friends to the various activities and learn all-important choreography to many of our popular stands tunes.","time_commitment":"The Lancer Marching Band season meets from late July to early November. While this seems like a long time, it goes by incredibly fast. The LMB rehearses Tuesday and Thursday from 3-6 p.m. and will occasionally rehearse on Wednesday's from 3-5 p.m. Students are expected to participate in each event where the Lancer Marching Band will be performing. Participating students should have completed at least two years of band experience at the high school or middle school level. Beginning high school students may participate in the Lancer Marching Band, but must first meet with the director to discuss expectations. Students who are interested in becoming a member of the Colorguard do not need to be a member of the music department and no experience is needed to participate; we will teach you everything from the beginning!
