In partnership with families, staff, and the community, school counselors provide a developmental program that addresses students\u2019 academic, personal\/social and career development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-47b581d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"47b581d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Counseling Programs &amp; Services<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af41edf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"af41edf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"block\" data-v-e2449dab=\"\"><div class=\"text-block content-level-0 ts-text\" data-v-e2449dab=\"\" data-v-71d4079f=\"\"><div data-v-71d4079f=\"\"><p><strong>School Counseling Core Curriculum<\/strong><\/p><p>Classroom lessons provide students with early interventions as well as preventative strategies so that ALL students benefit. Topics include skills for success, problem solving strategies, bullying prevention, career exploration, and core values.<\/p><p><strong>Small Group Counseling<\/strong><\/p><p>Support groups allow groups of 4-8 students to learn together in a caring and confidential setting. Groups meet for approximately 30 minutes once a week during lunch for 6 sessions. Past topics include resiliency skills, peer relations, social skills, and stress management.<\/p><p><strong>Individual Counseling<\/strong><\/p><p>Individual counseling is available to ALL students at the request of the student, parent, or staff member. Students are welcome to speak with a counselor at any time for a brief discussion to support their success at school.
