As a former elementary and high school special education teacher, dean of students, associate principal, and elementary principal here in Chesterfield County know that I have the knowledge and skills to work collaboratively with our school community. Midlothian has a storied tradition of academic excellence, and supports our local and global for those in need and is also a National School to Watch. Midlothian Middle School is a community of innovative, engaged and resilient learners empowered by strong relationships. I can assure you that all of our students, staff and administration embody an Infinite Learner Mindset, and your family will feel safe and supported within our school community.<\/p>

I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia but currently reside in Midlothian with my family. I am a graduate of the University of West Georgia, Liberty University, Virginia Commonwealth University and received my doctorate in Education and Administration from Walden University. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, Gabby Rose 8 and Adrian 6 who both attend our local CCPS school. We enjoy art projects, books, traveling to the beach, travel\/association sports and a movie night at home. My personal hobbies include reading, working out, relaxing by ANY body of water and connecting with loved ones.<\/p>

As we set the stage for the 2025-2026 school year, it is imperative that we put in the work, remain engaged, remain supportive of one another and remain collaborative caregivers.\u00a0 Together, we will enable our students to thrive beyond Midlothian Middle School and become critical-thinking global citizens. Every parent is encouraged to become a member of the Midlothian Team by joining the PTO, attending school events, and\/or being a volunteer. Together, we can make a positive impact! I am a proud graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools and have dedicated much of my career to serving the community that shaped me. I served as a teacher, coach, and administrator at my alma mater, Thomas Dale High School, until 2024, and also taught Advanced Placement courses at Midlothian High School. It has been a joy transitioning to the middle school level, and I am honored to serve as your Associate Principal at Midlothian Middle School. My extensive experience at the high school level uniquely equips me to help prepare our students for the next stage of their academic journey.<\/p>

A lifelong resident of Chesterfield County, I grew up in Chester and now live in Midlothian with my family. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned my Post-Master\u2019s Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. My husband, Michael\u2014an alumnus of Manchester High School\u2014and I are proud to continue the CCPS tradition with our three children, Mallory, Vivian, and Colton, who are all currently enrolled in CCPS schools.<\/p>

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, visiting the beach, and keeping up with our children\u2019s many activities. I firmly believe that active, engaged children thrive both academically and personally. I am excited for another outstanding school year and look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence at Midlothian Middle School.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I am a NoVA native. I attended Prince William County Public Schools K-12, earned my Bachelor’s and Master\u2019s degrees at George Mason University in Elementary (pK-6) Curriculum and Instruction. I taught fifth grade for five years before moving to Chesterfield. The move to Chesterfield brought a lot of adventure and new beginnings. My daughter, Cameron, was born prematurely as I started my first year teaching fourth grade at Watkins Elementary and I achieved National Boards Certification in Middle Childhood (7-12 year olds). I went on to open Old Hundred Elementary in its founding year as a fourth grade teacher, and eventually transitioned to teaching K-5 STEAM resource. During my first year at Midlo, I finished my Master’s in Administration and Supervision at the University of Virginia.\u00a0<\/p>

I\u2019m passionate about building a sense of community and a love for learning, whether it be from all life has to offer or in the classroom. The middle school years offer opportunities for new perspectives and personal growth. Outside of school Cameron and I enjoy taking our Lab-Pit mix, Kali, on adventures, being outside, crafting, and creating! I\u2019m looking forward to my journey as a Mustang and continuing to grow and learn with and from our amazing students and community.

I am a proud Midlothian Middle School alum and thrilled to return to the Mustang community in this new role. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Post-Master’s Certificate in Administration and Supervision at Longwood University.<\/p>

Throughout my career, I have taught middle school, elementary, STEAM resource, Adult GED, and STEM Coaches. I believe that all students can achieve at high levels when supported by strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a culture grounded in equity and high expectations. As I begin my 20th year with you, I will strive to help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every student is valued and empowered to thrive.<\/p>

My family and I are lifelong Chesterfield County residents. My son Chase is beginning middle school this year, so I’m experiencing the journey alongside our new students and families. In my spare time, I enjoy my feet in the sand, cheering on the VCU Rams, or fishing on the Potomac River with Chase, my husband Jason, and our dog Roxy. I also enjoy giving back to our community by fostering kittens for Chesterfield County Animal Services.<\/p>
