New tool makes it easier to report bullying
To make it easier for students, families and staff to report bullying concerns, Chesterfield County Public Schools has introduced a new online reporting tool called STOPit that replaces the division’s paper bullying reporting form. The new tool is available through student Chromebooks, school websites and the STOPit mobile app, making it easier to submit concerns quickly and securely.
Students may submit reports by accessing the tool through the Rapid Identity (my.ccpsnet.net) dashboard on their Chromebook. Reports can also be submitted by clicking the Report Bullying button at the top right of your school’s homepage or by using the free STOPit mobile app (search for STOPit on Google Play or the Apple App Store).
Reports may be submitted anonymously and can include photos, videos and other information that may help school administrators investigate concerns. All reports are reviewed by designated school administrators for the appropriate follow-up.
The new reporting tool is intended to complement, not replace, the relationships students have with trusted adults. Students are always encouraged to speak directly with a parent, teacher, school counselor, administrator or another trusted adult whenever they have a concern.

Opt in required to receive text alerts from CCPS
As part of the school division’s transition to SchoolMessenger, our new email, text and phone messaging system, families and staff members should receive a text message on Aug. 14, 2026, asking them to confirm that they wish to continue receiving important text alerts from their school and the school division.
The text will come from this five-digit short code: 67587
The message will say:
Chesterfield County School District messages. Reply Y to confirm, HELP 4 info. Msg&data rates may apply. Msg freq varies.
When the text is received, reply Y to opt in. Those who do not reply will no longer receive text alerts from their school or the school division.

For a few weeks, both Apptegy and SchoolMessenger will be operational for messaging. During this transition, school and school division text messages may come from either of two five-digit short codes, one associated with each system. This does not mean the same message will be received from both numbers. Messages from either number are legitimate CCPS communications.
