I am extremely excited to serve as your Principal again this year and so proud to be a Dragon! SERVICE is my ultimate goal as an administrator, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the entire Greenfield community. I believe every child should be inspired to become a lifelong learner by cultivating his\/her unique gifts and talents in a safe and loving environment. We want Greenfield to be that place for your students!<\/p>

I grew up right here in Chesterfield County. I received my BBA in Computer Information Systems from JMU and my Masters in Business Administration from the U of R. I later returned to U of R to receive my Teaching Licensure and Leadership\/Administration Certification. I continue to be inspired everyday by students\u2019 innate desire to learn and grow.<\/p>

I have a supportive husband Paul and three beautiful children \u2013 Savannah, Michael, and Allison. They are thrilled that I serve at Greenfield, as it is a place they called home during their elementary school years. In my free time, I enjoy running\/walking in the neighborhood, relaxing with family and friends, playing with our dog Rascal, and serving at church.<\/p>

We will be sharing our story and all the great things happening within our school through various outlets with hopes of reaching everyone. Every week, you will receive a school-wide email message detailing the week ahead. Please know my door is open to you, as communication is the key to a successful partnership. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work together. I first had the privilege of working alongside the amazing staff and students at Greenfield as their Instructional Designer. From the very beginning, it was clear to me that this school is a part of a close-knit community that is supportive, diverse, and full of heart. I\u2019m thrilled to step into this new role and remain committed to helping every Dragon learn, grow, and dream big.<\/p>

I began my career in education in 2007, shortly after moving to Virginia from my hometown in the Pittsburgh area. Since then, I\u2019ve worn many hats in the public school setting, including 5th grade teacher, instructional lead, computer resource teacher, and assistant principal. I\u2019ve also supported Career and Technical Education at the secondary level, led summer school programs, and collaborated with teachers to integrate technology. Each experience has shaped my belief in the power of collaboration, the importance of listening, and the value of partnership.<\/p>

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University, with a minor in Exceptionalities, and later completed my Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University. I also hold endorsements in Administration and Supervision, Technology Education, and Elementary Education.<\/p>

My wife, Jennifer, and I are proud parents to two wonderful sons, Grayson and Cameron, who keep us on our toes and fill our lives with joy. As a family, we love spending time at the beach or lake, exploring new places, and making memories during new adventures. We enjoy Fall football rivalries, and watching the Flying Squirrels take the field in the Spring, but our favorite place to be is on the soccer fields during our weekends cheering on our boys!<\/p>

It is a true privilege to step into this role and partner with the incredible staff, students, and families that make Greenfield so special!
