Most student-athletes that make the soccer team play for other clubs outside of the school; this comes with its challenges. These soccer players may be accustomed to playing in a different position. The coaching or formations may be different at their other club - so this can be an adjustment. All of these and other factors must be addressed in order to create a new team that is selfless, open to new coaching, and is filled with a roster of players that support one another.","team_highlights":"At Deep Creek we will begin our inaugural girls season as a soccer program. Tryouts typically last seven days and start based on grade level before coming together with all grade levels. Tryouts for the girls team begin in February.","season_information":"The girls soccer season is a spring sport. The girls soccer season runs February through April.\r\n\r\nThe girls soccer teams play 12 regular season matches, followed by playoffs. The seeding for the playoffs is\u00a0 determined by how each team finishes the regular season in the table based off of points.\r\n\r\nSeason matches are typically held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 p.m.\r\n\r\nPractices are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:15 - 3:30 once our field is ready.\r\n\r\nAll home matches will be played at River City (unless our field is ready) this season while we give our field and Mother Nature the time needed to solidify what will be an amazing field for our student-athletes to play on in the very near future.\r\n\r\nThe first match of the season will be Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 vs. Tomahawk Creek Middle","tryout_information":"In order to try out for the soccer team, <strong>student-athletes must have both physical and concussion forms completed and on file with the school<\/strong>. Student-athletes that stop running at any point will automatically be cut and will not be allowed to continue with tryouts.\r\n\r\nTryouts for the girls soccer season are planned to be at the River City Sports Complex off of Genito Road, unless our school field is ready.
