Virtual School (CVS) provides families with an alternative to the traditional school setting.<\/p><ul><li>Courses are taught by teachers licensed in the content areas.<\/li><li>Students follow a daily bell schedule and have opportunities to interact with the teacher and peers during live instruction.\u00a0<\/li><li>Course work is delivered and communication occurs within the Canvas learning management system.<\/li><li>CVS offers a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/cvs.oneccps.org\/o\/cvs\/page\/activities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">activities<\/a> for its data-v-71d4079f=\"\"><div data-v-71d4079f=\"\"><ul><li>The family completes the application before the application deadline.<\/li><li>CVS notifies the family of acceptance.<\/li><li>Each student must have fully completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneccps.org\/page\/register-for-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CCPS enrollment requirements<\/a> within the communicated deadlines.<\/li><li>Accepted rising kindergarteners must attend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneccps.org\/page\/kindergarten-ready\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Kindergarten Registration<\/a> at their school of residence and share with that school of their CVS acceptance.<\/li><li>Students<strong> returning<\/strong> to CVS must:<\/li><li>Complete the online registration and follow all required prompts.\u00a0<\/li><li>Submit updated documentation for by the specified deadlines, if requested.<\/li><li><strong>Current students who do not plan to return to CVS for the upcoming school year must complete the opt-out form<\/strong>. <em>Please note: the opt-out form does not apply to current 8th-grade students who will be transitioning to high school.<br \/><br \/><\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"row ts-one-column-row row-level-0 standard-row\" data-v-dc856119=\"\" data-v-e2449dab=\"\"><div class=\"ts-one-column column\" accredited school, in-person testing is required for a few assessments throughout the school year.
