The first year includes a study of related hand and power tools, vehicle construction, metal working, metal cutting (plasma and torch), MIG welding, basic of paint spraying equipment, priming with high volume/low pressure (HVLP) equipment, and repairing, replacing, and adjusting damaged vehicle components. Second-year study includes structural damage and repair, analyzing damage and estimating repair costs, customer relations, plastic repair, and the prepping and application of the newest automotive paint materials. Through the ASE Education Foundation, an opportunity also exists for qualifying students to apprentice full-time at an automotive repair facility in the summer after the first year and part-time during the second year of the program.

This is an Honors level Program. Rising Juniors receive preference in admissions for this two year program. Rising Seniors are encouraged to apply for one year programs.
