I am absolutely ecstatic to be serving as the principal of Marguerite Christian Elementary! I am confident the school year will be amazing and the Marguerite Christian Lions will be feasting on success!<\/p>

In 2004, I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Afterwards, I took my first teaching position with Richmond Public Schools and I taught fifth, fourth, and second grades. During my ten year tenure with RPS, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Master of Education degree in Special Education, and a Post-Master\u2019s Certificate in Educational Leadership. I obtained a grade four teaching position with Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2014, and was promoted to assistant principal the following year. I served as the assistant principal of Matoaca Elementary for three years.<\/p>

In my leisure, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my two sons. Additionally, I love grilling, traveling, and watching the Carolina Panthers during football season!<\/p>

I\u2019m looking forward to partnering with all members of the Marguerite Christian family to make this an exciting school year! It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the Associate Principal of Marguerite Christian Elementary School. I am very humbled and honored to join this vibrant and supportive school community.\u00a0 My husband and I are blessed to have two amazing daughters, who are both products of CCPS.\u00a0 Isabella recently graduated from Midlothian HS and is now at Virginia Tech and Sophia just started her senior year at Cosby HS. We also have a miniature Dachshund who brings an abundance of joy to our lives.\u00a0 As a family, we love to travel and explore new cuisine!\u00a0<\/p>

My educational journey began 14 years ago as a classroom teacher here in CCPS upon graduating from Old Dominion University.\u00a0 Since then, I have earned my masters in Elementary Education and my Education Leadership & Policy Studies certificate from the University of Richmond.\u00a0 I have had the privilege of working in various roles in education that have deepened my passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all. At Marguerite Christian, my goal is to support our students, staff and families in every possible way. I am committed to creating a nurturing environment where all students and staff feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.\u00a0<\/p>

Open communication is essential and I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns or ideas you may have.
